I recently began working with isafe.org to help in authoring guidelines for family oriented websites. The goal is to inform parents and other family members how to make sure that their web site, or any web site that they may appear on, is built in a way to maintain a certain or complete level of anonymity to the public eye.

In essence, these guidelines protect you and your family. If you, anyone you know, or if you know your name or picture is on any kind of website, these guidelines offer helpful suggests on how to make sure you do not fall victim to any sort of internet crimes.

I've been building web sites since 1995 and have had the opportunity to own my own business. In 2004, business and personal situations lead me to the tough decision to leave my company. I now work for a large non-profit association in the suburbs of Chicago, IL USA. I've been programming ColdFusion applications since 2001. I have developed strong skills in creating both front-end and back-end web applications plus site layout and design.

I've completed work for a variety of businesses and organizations (big and small) since working in the industry. I've built web sites and applications for the Bridgestone/Firestone company as well as Aveda's Annabella Salon and Spa. The work spans various database platforms that include MS SQL, MySQL, Oracle, Access, and Filemaker Pro. I'm currently studying for the ColdFusion Developers Certification Exam and attend Walden University where I'm only as few courses away from earning a masters degree in Information Technology.
